Keith and Carrie spent their high school years living not two miles apart — yet they didn’t meet until they both moved 70 miles away to college in Greensboro. They attended different high schools and hung out at the same places, but their paths never crossed.
When Carrie moved into the Residential College at Mary Foust, where Keith had already lived for a year, they noticed each other right away. But it wasn’t until December that Carrie invited Keith in for a cup of tea. Several cups of tea later, in the middle of a great conversation, they noticed that the sun was rising and they’d sat talking the whole night.
Over Christmas break, knowing that they both lived in Raleigh, they exchanged contact information — and were shocked to find that they could quite literally walk to each other’s houses. (Carrie: “You live there? I live there!”) They spent a lot of time together over that break, and by New Year’s they were an official item.
Keith Kissel Groom
Grew up in Lincoln Park, MI. Big nerd with an artistic streak. Keith is a Freelance Photographer and Designer. In some alternate universe, he’s a biomechanics expert who regrets, just a little bit, not having become an artist. In this one, he’s an artist who regrets, just a little bit, not having become a scientist.
He’s the one designing this website and all the other little printed materials you’ll see.
Caroline Ring Bride
Born in Cary, NC. She’s a grad student at Duke in Biomedical Engineering — who originally intended to major in English.
They both love science fiction, graphic novels, zombie movies, The Lord of the Rings, anything Neil Gaiman writes, The Daily Show, the Colbert Report, House MD, Lost, most Pixar movies, good food, good wine, good beer, and Beatles Rock Band.
